Sharing
time with communities
This is the simplest form of volunteering and we would encourage
you to spend time with the communities. You can see many
such opportunities across districts soon.
Management
Competency
This is one area, where indiavolunteerportal.org
will invest substantially. We would like corporate volunteers
to work more on core competency volunteering than just sharing
time because NGOs can gain more here.
Skill based volunteering
The answer to eradicate poverty is not just in terms of
educating the children today. It is important that we provide
livelihood opportunities to yesterday's children and also
build skills in today's children. This means you can volunteer
to share skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs...or
if you are
a magician, you can share your tricks with underprivileged
children / youth and help them make a vocation out of it.
Pledges and advocacy
India had
40000 tigers in 1900. Today, we have 1400. Which means,
on an average, we have lost one tiger a day, in the last
109 years. We would like you to raise the voice by taking
a pledge to save the tiger. And we will take this voice
to just everyone, building pressure. And this pledge will
not be a one month drive or three months drive. It will
be there till it has to be there.
I
have some evening time free on weekdays and have two saturdays

More importantly, Developed Nation Network Trust, a National
Level NGO which manages indiavolunteerportal, is sharing volunteering
opportunities across the country. So, wherever you are, you
will get some volunteer opportunity.

we share volunteering opportunities with just NGOs ?
While most of the volunteering opportunities
online will be from NGOs, we will also give opportunities
